This is mostly a bug fix release that also includes a number of performance updates. The detailed list of changes can be seen in the Version History section.

Update to EssentialPIM Pro 4.01 is free for anyone who already owns a working copy of EPIM Pro 4.0 (regardless of the license expiration date).

The update process for both versions of EssentialPIM (Free and Pro) is simple: download the new version, install it (or overwrite in case of a Portable edition) over your existing version and run the program. EssentialPIM will automatically open your existing database file upon start.
